Berlin, Fruchtstrasse, 2012: title page (Fritz Tiedemann) page 143 (born Feb. 14, 1915 in Hamburg; learned the profession of land surveyor; inducted into the Luftwaffe where he learned photography and photogrammetry; worked 1938-1945 as photogrammetrist for Hansa Luftbild GmbH; taken prisoner by the Soviets and upon return to Berlin worked as a surveyor in land reform projects and freelanced as a photographer for projects preserving historical monuments; living in East Berlin, he maintained contacts in West Berlin and passed on many duplicate copies of his photographs to West Berlin authorities, for which he was arrested in February 1953, but released during the East Berlin uprisings of 1953, and fled to the West with his family later that year; from 1954-1978 worked as a photogrammetrist for Plan und Karte in Münster, which later became Hansa Luftbild; died Nov. 23, 2001 in Münster)
