| Found in | Hahnemühle Fine Art, via WWW, 9 August 2010 (The Hahnemühle papermill was established Feb. 17, 1584 by Merten Speiss, who called it Reylingehäusische Papiermühle. It remained in the Speiss family until 1769, when it was sold to the Andrae family, which owned it until 1884. Purchased by L. Heinemann in 1884, and then by Carl Hahne in 1886. Hahne renamed the mill Büttenpapierfabrik Hahnemühle. Merged with Schleicher & Schuell in 1902, who became the sole owner in 1927. Renamed Hahnemühle FineArt GmbH in 2002; separated from Schleicher & Schuell in 2004 and has operated independently since then.) |
