Biography/History note	Auguste Auspitz-Kolár was a Czech-born pianist and occasional composer who made Vienna the center of her career. Her father was the Czech writer and translator Josef Jiří Kolár, and her mother was Anna Manetinsky-Kolár, a singer. Her cousin, Katharina Kolárova, married the composer Bedřich Smetana. During the first part of her career she went by the name Auguste Kolár. After her marriage to Heinrich Auspitz on July 16, 1865, she used the name Auguste Auspitz-Kolár. She died in Vienna on December 23, 1878.
