Biography/History noteAnne Donovan was an American basketball player and women's basketball coach. She played professional basketball in Shizuoka, Japan and Modena, Italy, won two Olympic gold medals, and was the first female coach of a WNBA championship team, the Charlotte Sting. She was born November 1, 1961 in Ridgewood, New Jersey and was educated at Old Dominion University. She died June 13, 2018 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
