German Wikipedia, viewed 16 April 2015 (Lambert Schneider (Verleger); German publisher, born 18 April 1900 in Köln, died 26 May 1970 in Heidelberg. Grew up in Karlsruhe. Founded Verlag Lambert Schneider in 1925 in Berlin and first published Martin Buber's translation of the Old Testament from Hebrew to German. His business was bombed in World War II, and American occupation officers subsequently helped move it to Heidelberg. He published most post-war German editions of the works of Buber.)
