French papers, 1916-2006 (Anthropologist Kathrine Story French; well-known for decades-long fieldwork with the Warm Springs Indian Reservation community in Central Oregon; born in Champaign, Illinois on June 5, 1922; Pomona College: B.A. in philosophy and anthropology in 1942; Ph.D. from Columbia University. Following their marriage in 1943, both David and Kathrine worked as relocation advisors and community analysts with the War Relocation Authority at Colorado River Relocation Center in Poston, Arizona, from 1943 to 1946; Kathrine served on the faculty of Oregon Health Sciences University from 1959 to 1980, and was an adjunct member of the Reed College anthropology department from 1980 until her death; died on June 14, 1988); viewed Jan. 22, 2019 (d. June 14, 2006)
