One of the most prolific artists was Peter Archer, whose stylised action graced many covers and internals for Armada books, right from the very beginning of the imprint in 1962, and who continued illustrating for the publisher for at least the next twenty years! He painted cover artwork for the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Three Investigators, Lone Pine Adventures, and Armada's "Ghost Book" series, amongst many others. ... Mr Archer, is primarily known as a prominent military and historical artist, specialising in battle and war scenes. Born in 1933, Archer moved from the UK to Europe several years ago, but has now returned to settle in Devon, where he continues to paint millitary themed pieces.)
