Biography/History noteCaroline Still Anderson (1848-1919) was an African American physician, educator, and community organizer. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to prominent abolitionists William and Letitia Still, she was among the first African-American female doctors in Pennsylvania and was active in a number of Philadelphia's civic and educational organizations.
