He was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina to Arthur Bell, jr., a United States Marine Corps Captain and Jane Gumaer Bell, a Marine drill instructor. Bell founded and was the original owner of Pahrump-based radio station. His broadcast studio and transmitter were located near his home in Pahrump. Bell has written several books including The coming of global superstorm; The quickening: today's trends, tomorrow's world; The art of talk; The source: journey through the unexplained; The edge, man's mysterious past and incredible future.)
