Biography/History note | From a Czech noble family (Benešova), Tobiáš z Bechyně (died 1296) was a canon in Prague and Passau, then provost at Melnik and later in Prague. He was elected bishop of Prague in 1278. He was active in the political changes of the later 13th century in Bohemia. |
