Biography/History noteHeinrich Toke (approximately 1390-1454) was a theologian, university faculty member, and Catholic church reformer. He studied philosophy and theology at the Universität Erfurt and Universität Rostock, and in 1419 he became dean of the philosophy faculty at Rostock, as well as rector in 1424. In 1426 he received his doctorate in theology from Erfurt, and became a canon of Magdeburg cathedral. He was a representative at the Council of Basel in 1432, and he took part in Reichstag meetings after 1438.
