Wikipedia, July 19, 2019 (Vincent Badie; born 16 July 1902, died 8 September 1989, Montpellier; French lawyer and politician; elected as Radical Party (PRS) candidate to the Chamber of Deputies in 1936 representing Hérault; practiced as a lawyer at Montpellier; served as mayor of Paulhan; one of the 80 who voted against the grant of special powers to Philippe Pétain and creation of the Vichy régime; removed as mayor in 1941, arrested, and deported to Dachau concentration camp; after the war he was again elected to parliament, representing Hérault in the lower chamber, now called the National Assembly, until 1958)
