Flora illustrata, 2014: title page (Vanessa Bezemer Sellers) page 291 (Vanessa Bezemer Sellers, garden and landscape historian, studied at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and received her Ph.D. from Princeton University. She was a fellow at Dumbarton Oaks, the Harvard Research Institute for Garden and Landscape Studies. Sellers taught at the Bard Graduate Center and worked for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and lectured extensively in the United States and abroad. Executive editor of Flora Illustrata, she heads the Humanities Institute at The New York Botanical Garden and is also a member of the Garden's Library Visiting Committee. Her publications include Courtly Gardens in Holland 1600-1650 (Amsterdam, 2001); Magnificent Buildings, Splendid Gardens, David R. Coffin (Princeton, 2008) (editor); Gijsbert van Laar (1767-1820) Storehouse of Garden Ornaments (New York: Foundation for Landscape Studies, 2011).)
