de.Wikipedia.org website, viewed on 2/18/2020: (Irene Shirun-Grumach, born March 6, 1937 in Königsberg, daughter of the classical philologist Ernst Grumach and his first wife Margarete Breuer, studied Egyptology from 1954 to 1959 at the Humboldt University in Berlin with Fritz Hintze. After completing her studies, she went to the University of Basel, where she was awarded a doctorate. In 1969 she emigrated to Israel. From 1970 to 2001, she taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 1980 she was appointed Senior Lecturer, and, in 1993, Associate Professor. She is married to the Egyptologist Hanan Shirun)
