Biography/History noteWolfgang Jacobi was a German composer of orchestra, choir, chamber, and accordion music. In 1936, he moved to Munich but continued to compose in spite of the National Socialist ban on Jews in Germany continuing in employment. In 1946 he began teaching at the Handel Conservatoire and later became a professor of composition the the Munich academy of music.
