After two years of study at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, C. Boutin founded the punk band Edith Nylon in 1977 and recorded three albums through 1983. His career as an artist then began and since this time he has exhibited his work in numerous galleries and institutions such as Yvon Lambert-Paris 1987, Giorgio Persano-Turin 1992, Musee Bonnat-Bayonne 1998, and Büchsenhausen-Innsbruck 2001.
