Unassigned: cooperi, forsteri, frankstounensis, idahoensis, nigriculus, personatus, platyrhinus. The taxa haydeni, jacksoni, ugyunak, portenkoi, leucogaster, beringianus, and camtschatica have been included previously but are now considered as separate species; S. fontinalis is considered, together with lesueurii, as a subspecies)
