Found inEmsley, J. Nature's building blocks, 2011 (Neptunium; Np; element 93; Fermi proposed the name ausonium (symbol Ao) for element 93; Hulubei and Cauchois proposed the name sequanium (symbol Sq); neptunium was discovered by E.M. McMillan with the help of P.H. Abelson at Berkeley, Calif. in May 1940; McMillan named it element 93 neptunium; transuranium element; radioactive member of the actinide group (row 5f) of the periodic table)
